Dr. Jean-Paul Reeff Director Jean-Paul Reeff is a psychologist whose work focuses both on
innovation in education and training, as well as on evaluation and assessment. He has 20 years of professional experience in research, project management and consulting. During the past ten years he worked
as a project manager in the innovation department (SCRIPT) of the Luxembourg Ministry of Education. He is the founder of the LIFE Foundation and LIFE Research & Consult.

Danatchaya Chinajai Research Assistant Danatchaya Chinajai is a research
assistant at LIFE Research & Consult. She holds a B.Ed. degree in English from the Faculty of Education at Chiang Mai University (Thailand). She is based in Chiang Mai and is
especially interested in foreign languages; her work experience involves teaching English to children, working as a translator, and serving as a research assistant to foreign
graduate students. Her work for LIFE Research & Consult focuses on Open Content issues concerning foreign language learning. She translated ancient Thai fables from Thai to English, created and collected
humorous drawings to illustrate them, and has made these available on the Open Content platform.

Monique Reichert Research Assistant Monique Reichert is a psychologist specialized in cognitive science issues
and empirical methods. In 2002 she joined LIFE Research & Consult. Her main area of work lies in establishing an Open Content platform for education; furthermore, she is co-responsible for the language
learning project. As a part of her work, she is especially interested in integrating and applying theoretical aspects of cognitive research.

Dr. Stefanie Schaefers Research Assistant
Stefanie
Schaefers is originally a secondary school teacher (English
as a foreign language and art) who has spent the past
few years developing educational software for children
and adults. In 2003 she became a member of LIFE, and is
working on language assessment and (early) total immersion
as well as on the open content project. Besides foreign
language acquisition, she is also interested in internet
technology and of course in fine arts as she is a digital
painter and a paper sculptor herself.

Anouk Zabal Senior Researcher, Education Consultant Anouk Zabal is a senior researcher and consultant with a special interest in
education and learning assessment. After obtaining her degree in psychology at the University of Bonn in 1991, she worked in several research projects in the area of cognitive psychology (learning and
perception) and psychology of aging at the Universities of Bonn, Kiel and Trier. She has been working for LIFE Research & Consult, Germany, since 2001. Her work includes
problem-solving assessment as a part of the ALL Survey, evaluation studies as a part of the EC-funded project MONITOR, and research on educational indicators. Other interests include Gestalt
psychology and therapy.
