ongoing projects
The MONITOR project MONITOR, a research project funded by the DG Research of the European Commission (EC), is assessing and monitoring
various ongoing and finalized projects funded by the Fourth and Fifth Framework Programmes of the EC in the area of socio-economic research. A special methodology and evaluation
instruments were developed with the potential to be extendable to future framework programs. The evaluation of the projects focuses on how well the projects actually “fit” with
the aims specified in the EC Programmes, how successful they are in influencing decision-making, and their contribution to research. It is also intended to cluster these projects along
various dimensions - evaluation, assessment, methodology - and thus contribute to European networking and joint problem-solving initiatives for common issues. LIFE, as an institutional member of Pro@Ed, leads this project.
